Pendants and Charms, is There Really a Difference?

Absolutely. The most important aspect of charms and pendants are their size. Charms are smaller so they can fit comfortably on a bracelet or anklet while pendants are larger in size and fit on necklaces. Following that line of thinking, charms can be used on necklaces, but pendants cannot be combined with bracelets. Pendants are simply too bulky on a dainty bracelet/slim wrist, but they are perfectly suited to a neck, which is built to hold weight. Thus, this is how charms and pendants are distinguished. Charms can be considered pendants, while pendants should never be labeled charms. Hope this helps!

  1. That’s interesting! Size is important, I think. I have accidentally purchased a charm when I wanted a pendant, I hadn’t read the measurements and definitely didn’t get what I expected. Thanks for being so honest!
