Every woman should own a pair of diamond stud earrings. Think Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey Hepburn kind of classy. Don’t forget Casablanca. Ultimately, diamonds are just ageless beauty yet simple in their sparkle and shimmering properties. They go with absolutely everything you throw at them, from birthday parties for your children or that Christmas party held by your company. That is why they are the ultimate gift. All else aside, many men choose to wear diamonds in their ears as well. Historically speaking, ‘gentlemen of courage’ often wore fashion earrings, not women! Same goes for high heels, and other kinds of jewelry like pendants. Men were there first! What changed, well that’s only something we can ponder, and perhaps Western ideals are to blame. You can find diamond stud earrings in a various amount of cuts and styles, from princess cut to round brilliant in metals silver and gold. There’s a rare, perfect fitting pair of diamond earrings waiting just for you!

The diamond has been nominated for the birthstone of lucky April babies. The most valuable of all birthstones, it’s interesting to note that diamonds actually begin their sparkly lives as simple pieces of coal. Once the coal is exposed to high heat the atoms rearrange themselves turning the black coal into a diamond. Unfortunately, scientists are still unable to duplicate this process making diamonds one of the few jewels that can not be produced in a lab.
However, you might recognize the diamond’s sparkle in clear cubic zirconia stones. That’s because CZ stones are designed to look like imitation diamonds, made with the highest grade clarity and cut. But cubic zirconia stones are nothing like diamonds with the exception of the colorless sparkle.
Diamonds are named after an ancient word meaning “invincible.” This April birthstone continues to live up to it’s appropriate name as it continues to hold the title for hardest substance known to man according to the mohs scale of hardness. It also appears to remain undefeated as one of the world’s most prized and costly jewels of all time.
For the person who loves unique and shiny jewelry, Caribbean topaz jewelry is just what she is looking for. Never heard of it? This designer gemstone also goes by the name mystic fire or Bermuda topaz.
The process was patented by Azotic Coating Technology back in 1998. They devised a way to coat the underside of a white topaz with a thin layer of titanium. The end result is the brilliant kaleidoscope of colors found in Caribbean topaz. What happens is that the titanium disrupts the light refractive properties and creates a multitude of blues and greens.
This designer gemstone has acquired quite a following among collectors. The unique qualities of a Caribbean topaz ring make it a perfect gift for the girl who loves jewelry. Because its popularity is growing, you can find this dazzling gemstone in Caribbean topaz earrings, rings, pendants and bracelets. Though they don’t need any extra dazzle, Caribbean topaz diamond pendants and other pieces are also becoming popular.
The Caribbean topaz also looks fabulous set in gold or silver. The cool blues and greens are pulled to the forefront when set in silver and the fiery shades are highlighted in a gold setting. This gemstone is a unique accent for any occasion.
